Josephine’s Feast Shinnecock Bay Heirloom Apple Butter with Cardamon is made from heirloom apples grown on a century old apple tree bathed in the sun and fog off Shinnecock Bay on Long Island in New York. This is a spohisticated apple butter with the exotic flavor of cardamon. Spices are added at final stages of the slow cooking to heighten the exceptional flavor of the fruit and heighten this preserve’s exceptional taste. The apple butter is hand packed and made in limited quantities. These preserves reflect both the taste of the season and art of the confiture.
I suggest that you use this preserve as a condiment with oven roasted pork chops or crisp cooked duck. I enjoy this preserve on open face tea sandwiches made with sourdough toast and sliced banana. Positively scrumptous!
