Ginger Spiced Carrot Jam with Drunken Raisins 8oz
Ginger Spiced Carrot Jam with Drunken Raisins was developed after finding a Victorian recipe in an old cookbook. More of a sweet relish than a true jam this preserve is a wonderful condiment. Raisins are soaked in rum for months before thay are added to the carrot and ginger mixture. Made in limited small batch quantities. These preserves reflect both the taste of the season and art of the confiseur.
A traditional favorite spread on muffins & tea sandwiches. It adds a unique flavor to a simple cream cheese sandwich. A perfect glaze or as condiment with roasted ham. Exceptionally delicious in chicken salad. Our cousin Barbara enjoys it with salmon - something we never thought of!
Ingredients: organic baby carrots, cane sugar, golden raisins, apple pectin stock, ginger, lemon, & spiced rum
