Heirloom Strawberry & Rhubarb Preserves are the perfect marriage of two opposing tastes – the tartness of heirloom "valentine" rhubarb which we grow in our orchard along with with the sweetness of just picked strawberries from our friends at Wesnofske Farms on the North Fork of Long Island. They have been growing berries for 4 generations. We cook this preserve over two days insuring a deep and delicious fruit flavor and with far less sugar than a commercial preserve. Honestly - you can taste the difference. Lovely for breakfast on toast or in yogurt. Equally good with a mild goat cheese or a wheel of Brie.
